Well, what a day yesterday was. I will tell the whole story at another time, I just wanted to thank ya'll for praying for him. He was actually released from the hospital last night! Only my dad could be careflighted and released all in the same day. He is really beat up and swollen, but praise God his head injuries weren't that severe. Yesterday was a day I don't want to ever relive, and it really put things into perspective for me.
So, thanks again for praying, and please just keep him in your prayers for a few days as the soreness will be around for a good while.

I am so sorry! You and your family are in my prayers...believe me that I know what you are going through. I can't find your cell number. Here is sort of a funny story that will maybe lighten your day. I called information to get your number and apparantly there are TWO James Mayos in Abilene..I mean, what the heck? So I call the other number and I say "Is Leslie there?" And some lady is like "I'm not sure who you're looking for." And I say "I am calling for James or Leslie Mayo" and she says "My husband James just died and I'm not Leslie so I guess you have the wrong number." So how bad do I feel!!! And yet, I am laughing. I love you honey and am praying for you guys!

Oh Leslie! I can't believe you've had a weekend like this. I'm so glad to hear that he was released, but I'm sure that was the scariest day of your life. I can't even imagine....
Keep us updated on his recovery. We will pray for his physical pain. I know that will be a tough road, even if he did come home from the hospital.

i am so thankful that your dad is ok! we were certainly praying! i hope is recovery is quick and your mom can keep her energy and strength up to help him with whatever he needs! i'm so glad your family is ok.
