I'm home from church tonight with Cora, who has not been feeling well the past couple of days. I really hope she feels better soon!
Earlier this afternoon, Kaitlyn told me that she wanted to tell me how much she loved me, Daddy and Cora - and that she wanted me to type it. I thought it was so sweet (and hilarious), so here is how much we are loved..... in her exact words.
i love Mommy all the way around the world 88 times,
and all the way through the states of America,
and all the way to the 50 States of America that we love,
and all the way to Arizona and Mexico,
and to America state 'merica,
and all the way through the stars,
all the way through the planets of America,
and all the way back to Abilene.
I love Daddy all the way through the world 80 million times,
and all the way through the states of you know,
and I love him how much you love me,
and back to Abilene.
I love Cora all the way past the world 80 million 80 times
and all the way through the planets
and all the way from the stars that you know in America,
and all the way through the million states,
and the oceans,
and the lakes and rivers and back to Abilene.
How funny is that? I love the way she thinks.
We are thinking about the name Chandler Brooke for baby girl #3. I need a LOT of comments on how much you love it, so that we can convince James - okay?

I really do love the name Chandler Brooke, and I'm not just saying that because you said to! I love Kaitlyn's list...I love it all the way through all those states in America, and rivers, and planets, and stars! What a sweet girl.

Chandler is a boy's name.
Yes Chandler could be a boy's name, but isn't Cora's middle name James? I don't think you can use that objection. If only you had spelled Kaitlyn's name with a "C," your girls would all have "C" names. Is it too late to change?
Wow! Maybe Kaitlyn seems to be interested in geography--or maybe astronomy--or maybe travelling--or maybe math! Too cute!

That just made my day!! Kailyn's so awesome. I LOVE the name Chandler for a girl. My last hairdresser has a girl named Chandler, and since I heard it I've been thinking that it's such a great name for a girl. Uh, and tell Mr. "Jamie" Mayo that he can't complain about Chandler being a boy's name!

Courtney - so far James's suggestions have been Betsy, Teresa, and Karen. Seriously.

OK. You know I LOVE different names. All my girls have "boy" names and I love that it makes them different. So OF COURSE I love the name Chandler Brooke. SO SO MUCH!!! Seriously, if you change it I will be disappointed!!!
betsy, teresa, or karen??? i know what you're dealing with...a lot like jeff...he thought it would be a good idea to name korley, Phyllis. that's all i'll say. :)
i agree with Mr. Mayo, Chandler is a boys name. Your child will be confused enough with James as her dad, don't through in the confusing name too. I like Penelope.
Kaitlyn is the sweetest! I love Chandler Brooke! I didn't think of it as a boy's name right away. Brooke is my sister's name and it is her middle name...Valerie Brooke. I say go with it...come on James!
Please name her Chandler...I just got really excited about her being here! Just go get something monogrammed and James will just have to deal with it.

I really like Chandler Brooke, but I might be tempted to call her "Chandler Bing" on occasion. If you can live with that, then by all means, proceed. :)

I've got lots of monogrammed things that could be passed down if you go with Chandler! You know that we love it! :)
I have this really great name book called "The Name Book". It has the inherent of each name and then it's spiritual connotation along with a scripture. Here's Chandler:
Inherent: Candle Maker
Spiritual: Bearer of Light
Scripture: John 8:12 (NKJV) "I am the light of the world. He who follow Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
I'd say that's a yes!

adorable! tell james when he carries the fourth baby he can name her betsy or karen or yolanda if he wants. i am kinda surprised he didn't suggest Selina!
Chandler is NOT just a boy's name-there are lots of little girls named that...oh well...enough-it is CUTE and that's what her name should be!
